Crash testing is a vital aspect of safety testing and product development, helping to evaluate how occupants respond to various collision scenarios while helping manufacturers and engineers with their product design development. With our state-of-the-art facilities and capabilities within aerospace, automotive and the emergency services, we stand at the forefront of passenger safety research and development.

Aerospace

Conducting of both development and certification testing of aircraft seats to the requirements of SAE AS8049D.

Emergency Services

Conducting impact tests on vehicle bodies to assess the effectiveness of equipment and occupant restraints.

ISO 7176-19 Wheeled Mobility Devices for use as Seats in a Motor Vehicle.

Testing Capability
BS EN1789:2020 Full body and component level 5-axis dynamic tests
Dynamic 10g tests in 5 orientations will be performed, ± x, ± y and + z directions, to test the retention systems and fixation of the equipment in the passenger compartment of an ambulance.

ISO 7176-19 Wheeled mobility devices for use as seats in motor vehicles
A 48km/h frontal impact crash pulse is used to assess the crashworthiness of a wheelchair and the wheelchair tie down and occupant restraint system (WTORS) when a suitable ATD is seated in the wheelchair.

Mobility

A 48kn/h frontal impact crash pulse is used to assess the crashworthiness of a wheelchair and the wheelchair tie down and occupant restraint system (WTORS) when a suitable ATD is seated in the wheelchair. While our Servo Sled has the capability to conduct the tests, additional equipment may be required depending on the customer requirements.
